The Dandelion is a 2010 comedy brickfilm by Daniel Utecht. It follows a man who goes to great difficulty in attempts to remove one stubborn dandelion from his garden. It gained considerable traction on YouTube, where it managed to become one of the top search results for "LEGO" for some time. It was also on the shortlist for the cancelled 2010 Bricks in Motion Awards.
A man is finishing up mowing his lawn. He turns around and, to his dismay, he sees one rogue dandelion. He attempts to spray weedkiller on the dandelion, but it just sprouts up again elsewhere. He repeatedly attempts to dig it up, but the dandelion scurries away, and the lawn is left full of holes. The man puts a chain around the dandelion and tries towing it with his car, but the dandelion does not budge.
The man fetches a flamethrower. The dandelion ducks underground, and the man torches the grass, burning much of it. The dandelion reemerges, and the man reels in frustration. He gets one more idea, and fetches lots of dynamite to cover the dandelion with, and sets it off. Later, the man's badly damaged house is up for sale dirt cheap, with the dandelion outside. A rabbit arrives, and eats the dandelion.
