The Bad Knights is a 2007 medieval comedy brickfilm by Callum Cormie and Hayley Drake. It follows a group of knights who set out to slay a dragon, but the incompetence of the knights leads the king into a coarse diatribe.[1] It was inspired by the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail.[2]

Festival information[]
The Bad Knights was selected to be screened at the 2007 Co-operative Young Film Makers Festival in Bradford.[3] In December 2007, the film was chosen as the winner of a BBC Blast bursary award in the category Animation.[4] As a result, it was shown on television on BBC 2, and it was screened at an awards ceremony at the British Film Institute in London, in January 2008.[5] Here, Callum Cormie was awarded with £3000 to go towards a future short film, and was put in contact with industry professionals at Framestore to mentor him. The resulting project was his next brickfilm, Why Bother with the News?.
