Spite Your Face Productions was the company name of British animators and filmmakers Tony Mines and Tim Drage. During the early 2000s, they were the go-to animators for when The LEGO Group required official, promotional brickfilms, and the most well known works they produced for LEGO include The Peril of Doc Ock, The Han Solo Affair, Monty Python and the Holy Grail in LEGO, and Scary Thriller; a film that was included on a disc in two LEGO Studios LEGO sets. They are also known for their earlier independent brickfilms ONE: A Space Odyssey and All of the Dead.[1][2] The films that Spite Your Face Productions created for The LEGO Group were some of the most widely viewed and highest regarded brickfilms in the 2000s, and introduced many people to the concept of brickfilming.
Tony Mines died from cancer on July 9, 2022, at age 44.[3]
