Brickfilms Wiki

Retribution is a 2015 crime brickfilm by Neal Tovstiga.[1][2] It follows Leonard Wilson, a man with misfortune in his recent past who is offered the opportunity to seek retribution.[3] It was an entry to the Brickfilm Rapidly All Week Long Contest 2015, and won third place.

The wife of ex-police officer Leonard Wilson has recently been murdered. Leonard sits in a bar when he is approached by a man with a briefcase, who explains that he has been informed of Leonard's recent misfortune and researching of who the killers are. He offers Leonard a briefcase with 100,000 dollars, a handgun and untraceable ammunition, leaving it up to him what he should choose to do with it.

Leonard ventures around murdering criminals and corrupt officials. The police, led by Detective Bishop, find the sixth body in a week, and Bishops requests the list of victims be cross-referenced for any potential suspects. She finds a crowbar at the scene, which reminds her of when her boyfriend was killed and she was attacked with a crowbar in a mugging. The police zero in on Leonard Wilson, noting that a crowbar was used during the mugging of him and his wife and killing of his wife. Bishop pays Leonard a visit, revealing that she knows he is the murderous vigilante.

Bishop tries to get Leonard to turn himself in but he vows to continue and go after the head criminal, so she is forced to shoot him before he shoots her. As he lies on the floor, Leonard speaks of what he found in his research and mentions the familiar crowbar, before asking Bishop if her boyfriend's killer was ever found. When outside, Bishop is approached by the man with the briefcase, who says he can offer her an opportunity.[3]
