Odoriferous is a 2013 comic fantasy brickfilm by Harrison Allen.[1][2] It follows a woman, Elska, whose inability to smell leads to her being sent to battle a mysterious and very stinky creature threatening the kingdom.[3] It was created for the Brickfilm Rapidly All Week Long Contest 2013, and won first place.
Plot[]
A kingdom ruled by King Mordecai has great prosperity and happy people, until an unseen creature begins to steal all of the treasure night after night. Mordecai sends knights to find the creature, but when they locate its cave, they are unable to enter due to an overwhelmingly bad smell. They fear nobody may ever be able to enter, until patrons of a pub suggest Elska, a woman with no ability to smell. Elska is reluctant due to inexperience, but Mordecai sends her anyway, as she is all he has.
Elska is left at the entrance to the cave by knights who cannot offer any advice on monster slaying. She enters and calls out, and the creature appears across from her. He introduces himself as Rainbow Sparkle, a magical unicorn, and Elska explains that she has come to stop him from stealing. Rainbow Sparkle claims that it is not stealing because he is not doing it for selfish purposes, and that Mordecai's kingdom has too much greed. He begins to push the treasure into a pit of fire, and Elska takes out a sword and cuts off his horn, which falls into the pit. Elska is rewarded back at the kingdom.[3]
