Obscured Outlooks is a 2013 musical brickfilm by Omar "Mickey" Mickelson.[1] It follows the harrowing tale of Van, whose outlook on life is altered by his changing living situation.[2] It was created in one day for the Brickfilm Rapidly All Week Long Contest 2013, and placed seventeenth. It became a cult favorite for being an amusingly poorly-done musical with bizarre lyrics that sounded like they were being made up as it went along.[3][4] In particular, the lines referencing onion rings and Josh Brolin spawned in-jokes among members of the community.[5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12]

Plot Edit

There's a guy named Van. He's a simple man. He lives on the fourth floor of an apartment complex. Van liked many things; he liked onion rings. He also likes the movie Jonah Hex, with Josh Brolin. Van also likes to stand on his terrace and look at things far away, but then there came a time when that all changed, on a very fateful day. The city that Van lived in was very populated, so if there are a lot of people living in the city, you're gonna get smog. So one day Van's outlook was permanently altered, and what was Van going to do now?[2]
