mass media in a changing world is a 2008 drama brickfilm by Jeremy Markowitz. It is about a man who is being affected by focusing a fearmongering media cycle.[1] It is set to the song "Everything's Not Lost" by Coldplay. It was Markowitz's first brickfilm since 2005, and it was made in a week and a half.[2]

Plot[]

Amid stormy weather, a man wakes up in his house. He turns on the TV and gets caught up in the media cycle, flipping between news channels reporting on bleak topics such as terrorism, global flu pandemic and recession. He heads to his computer and reads the online news about the same type of topics. He checks a newspaper, which is similarly dismal.

The man opens a cupboard door where his gun sits. He looks at the gun, but then looks at a picture of himself outside with his parents, and begins to smile. The weather outside starts to clear up.[1]
