LEGO IDEAS is an official LEGO platform that allows members of the public to submit ideas for designs that may be chosen to be released as official LEGO sets. In 2018, it also took over from Rebrick as the main platform for The LEGO Group to host contests.[1] It has primarily hosted MOC contests, and has had a much lower frequency of brickfilm contests than Rebrick. The first LEGO IDEAS brickfilm contest occurred in 2021. Contests require entrants to be 13+ and use only royalty-free sound, or no sound.
What If: Blacksmith Brickfilms[]

On February 1, 2021, the LEGO IDEAS contest 'What If: Blacksmith Brickfilms' was launched to promote the LEGO set 21325 Medieval Blacksmith. The prompt for the contest was "What do you think life would look like without a blacksmith in medieval times?". Entries were required to be between 5 and 30 seconds long.[2] The contest received 336 entries. The prize for first place was the LEGO sets 21325 Medieval Blacksmith, 21322 Pirates of Barracuda Bay, and 10223 Kingdoms Joust. The prize for second place was the sets 21325 LEGO Ideas Blacksmith, 92177 LEGO Ideas Ship in a Bottle, 40448 Vintage Car, and 7952 Kingdoms Advent Calendar. The prize for third place was the sets 21325 LEGO Ideas Blacksmith, 92177 LEGO Ideas Ship in a Bottle, 40448 Vintage Car, and 3841 Minotaurus game.

A Galaxy of Celebrations[]

On November 16, 2021, the LEGO IDEAS contest 'A Galaxy of Celebrations' was launched, with a deadline of January 13, 2022.[3] It received 195 entries. The contest had one Ultimate Prize Winner in addition to three Grand Prize Winners.

- Holiday Season: Santa's Pod Racer - "Brickhausen"
- May the 4th: Cinematic Event - "Aldar-Beedo"
