The Fastest and Funniest LEGO Star Wars story ever told is a 2010 parody brickfilm animated by Garrett Barati. It is a humorous retelling of the original Star Wars trilogy in 2 minutes.[1] It was commissioned by The LEGO Group to tie in with May the 4th, known as "Star Wars Day". It is the first film made directly for LEGO by Barati, who would go on to become one of their regularly hired animators. It was followed by The Fastest and Funniest LEGO Star Wars story ever told... The Prequel! the following year.

The film does not utilize green screening, and backgrounds were achieved by displaying images on a television screen behind the set.[2]
