An Arresting Development is a 2018 comedy brickfilm by Zach Macias.[1][2] It is the tenth film in the Ben and Andy series and follows Ben and Andy waking up to discover their apartment being demolished.[3] It also continues plot elements from the eighth installment, A Christmas Caper. The presentation of the film is in homage to the sitcom Arrested Development. An Arresting Development was originally intended to be an entry to the Brickfilm Rapidly All Week Long Contest 2014, but once the deadline was missed, production halted for a great deal of time.

Plot[]

Andy wakes up uncharacteristically early and finds Ben up playing Overwatch. Andy enters the kitchen, and hears construction going on right outside. He thinks it seems quite close, when a wrecking ball comes swinging through the kitchen wall. When the construction crew enter their house, Ben and Andy learn that today is the scheduled demolition of their apartment complex, to make way for a new housing development. They realize that a note they had received from their landlord was not read as it was used in a game of beer pong during a house party.

The police burst through the door and the good cop arrests the foreman for money laundering, explaining that the construction project is a laundering scheme financed via illegal gambling and drug money. The construction project is shut down and the crew are all taken away, leaving Ben and Andy alone in their now mostly empty and half demolished apartment.[3]
