Ella's Tale is a 2015 brickfilm by Harrison Allen.[1][2] It follows Ella, who wishes to write a story but is unable to think of what to write about.[3] It was an entry to the Brickfilm Rapidly All Week Long Contest 2015, in which it placed tenth.

Plot

Ella wants to write a story, and sits at her desk with a quill and ink. However, Ella has no ideas for what her story should be about. She searches through her recent memories for inspiration, but comes up with nothing.

Just before she gives up, Ella realizes that the starting point of a story has been with her all along. She begins to write a story about a man named Thompson, who wants to write a story but does not know what to write about, until he realizes he can write a story about someone who can't think of what to write a story about. Ella is satisfied, until she wonders if she is in fact just a character like in the story she wrote. She wonders if she would rather star in a battle with a massive robot.

Ella battles a massive robot, and after defeating it, marries a prince and becomes a princess, eventually becoming queen.[3]
