1993?: Brickfilming begins to occasionally be discussed online in LEGO-centric newsgroups.
1994/5: A Swiss group creates a CG brickfilm called The LEGO Movie and presents it to The LEGO Group, along with visions for a digital database of LEGO bricks that could be used to create video material and interactive media on CD-ROM. This influences LEGO's foray into the digital realm.
1999: A brickfilm made in 1990, StarLego, is made available online in March 1999. It spreads wider than other brickfilms online up to this point, and is shared by Star Wars fansites.
