Brickfilms Wiki

Abduction 5 is a 2011 sci-fi brickfilm by Jonathan Vaughan. It immediately follows the events of Abduction 4 and is about Tony, Toby and Atom's search for information and evidence on the alien mothership to bring back to earth.[1] It is the latest film in the main Abduction storyline, but was followed by a pair of films set in the same universe. It was an entry to the Brickfilm Rapidly All Week Long Contest 2011 and won first place.[2]

Aboard the mothership, aliens torture and interrogate an abducted human, asking what he knows about earth's defence systems. Tony, Toby and Atom listen to his tortured screams as they stand in cells, next in line to be tortured. When a satellite hits the ship's power conduit, power is briefly lost and the shields keeping the three men in their cells turn off, allowing them to make an escape. The aliens wonder if they went too far with the man they have been interrogating, who is now bloodied and fighting for his life.

Tony, Toby and Atom arrive at a directional sign written in the alien language. Tony decides they should find out all they can about the aliens and find something to bring back to earth as evidence, and Atom uses one of his own inventions to translate the sign. Tony sends Toby to the information room and brings Atom with himself to the control deck.

Toby enters the information room and heads down a walkway to a keyboard. A display appears on a large screen and Toby looks up information stored about himself and his friends. He suddenly hears a pair of aliens entering the room and hides underneath the walkway. One alien decides it is time to begin the next phase of their plan to invade earth which involves infiltrating world leaders, and the screen shows they are targeting the president of the United States first.

Meanwhile, Tony and Atom have knocked out an alien and plan to bring it to earth as evidence of their existence. Toby comes running in and tells them of the aliens' plan to abduct the president, before noticing the captured alien. The alien stirs and sits up slowly. In a twist, he removes his helmet and reveals himself to be Atom Mo.[3]

In addition to placing first in the 2011 Brickfilm Rapidly All Week Long Contest, Abduction 5 was nominated for one award in the 2011 Bricks in Motion Awards.[4]
